I hope you all are having a wonderful summer, enjoying your time off from school and being with your friends and family. I have had a busy summer so far. After summer school, I traveled to Austin, Texas to a Working on the Work conference where I collaborated with educators from across the nation. I came back with some great ideas and am looking forward to implementing some of them in the upcoming school year. I also spent a week with my family in St. Augustine, Florida. We had a fabulous time at the ocean, pool and eating out at great restaurants. My family dropped me off at the airport on the way back from Florida, and I was off to San Antonio, Texas to the ISTE (National Technology Conference). This conference was an awesome learning experience for me, as I learned about new technologies and saw examples of 21st century technological advances in other schools. I am very proud of our PATH program and our students and teachers invloved in the Hewlett-Packard grant written and implemented by Mrs. Woodason, Mrs. Turso, Ms. Coffey, Mrs. Pettyjohn and Mr. Payne. We are now working hard this summer to get ready for August 8th. Some changes that you will see include: the receptionist desk in the lobby, an Internet Cafe', and a drama classroom in connections. I look forward to seeing you in August!!
